The Otago Medical Research Foundation warmly invites you to the final Club Otago Lunch for 2024.
Please join us on Thursday 5th December from 12pm - 2pm at the Glenroy Auditorium.
We are excited to introduce our guest speaker, Dr Ian Griffin, Director of the Otago Museum, who is joining us to speak on his 'Adventures in Astronomy' and the pursuit of the perfect shot.
Ian's love for the Southern skies was sparked a few days after moving to New Zealand when he witnessed the Aurora Australis, also known as the Southern Lights, above a Dunedin beach. Since then, he has developed a passion for photographing the night sky, with a particular focus on capturing the Aurora Australis.
We will also hear from our Face of Research, Melanie Millier (Research Fellow, Department of Women's & Children's Health, Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago).
Please reserve your tickets via the link below or contact Tracey Fleet (
manager@omrf.org.nz or 021 030 4900) to confirm your attendance, any guests you wish to bring and if you or any of your guests have dietary requirements.
Individual tickets are $75 ($65 for Club Otago members). Please contact Tracey directly if you have a Corporate Club Otago membership so that she can arrange your complimentary tickets.
Please RSVP by Monday 25 November 2024.
We look forward to seeing you at the event.
